GEOFF TAYLOR’S CAREER HISTORY

Geoff has been engaged in the accounting profession since 1968, initially as an assistant accountant in a share broking firm, and  then in managerial roles with several  insolvency, consultancy and accountancy practices.

Due to his vast experience in dealing with all types of accountants, solicitors, directors, sole traders and  insolvent persons, learning various accounting procedures and software   packages, he felt that, with the experience and knowledge he had acquired  during his 25 years in the profession, it was time to go his own way.

In 1977 he commenced his own bookkeeping and consulting business. During this time, he contracted to a MYOB Consultant, who specialised in installing, setting up, training users of MYOB, and explaining GST & BAS procedures.

In 2002 he was approached by a not-for-profit organisation and appointed to the position of Finance & Office Manager, while still continuing his bookkeeping business. As his business continued to expand, in 2006, he resigned from the organisation to give his full attention and best service to his clients, who have remained loyal to this day.

Geoff has now entered into this partnership with his  daughter to continue the existing practice and to bring her expertise to enhance the services provided, with the view that, at a minimum, they can meet and hopefully surpass expectations and assist clients in the operation of their business by provided concise, self-explanatory, down to earth guidance and financial information.

SHARYN MORGAN’S CAREER HISTORY

Sharyn has been engaged in the customer service and tourism industry for the last 20 years as a manager and more recently as an area manager to several businesses.

She is a very passionate person who loves a challenge, a leader who strives for success and has the ability to bring the best out of people with team building, development and training. A team player who leads by example, a positive can-do attitude, with the ability to manage successful, high performing teams.

Her major strengths include:-

  • Ability to turn declining businesses around
  • Ability to work with management to achieve the best possible outcome.
  • Building client, management and co-workers co-operation with strong leadership through meaningful relationships
  • Recruitment of employees who will enhance the performance of the business
  • Interpreting and explaining the meaning of financial statements, forecasting trends
  • Marketing
  • OH & S procedures and implementation
  • Payroll processes
  • Inventory control and ordering

In view of the downward trend of service and tourism industries, Sharyn was looking to combine her work ethos and passion to serve people to the best of her ability.

Sharyn has entered into this partnership with her father to jointly continue the existing bookkeeping and consultancy practice, and to bring her expertise to enhance the services provided, with the view that, together, they can meet and hopefully surpass expectations and assist clients in the management of their business by provided concise, self-explanatory down to earth guidance and financial information.
